Pozycja A Field Study of the Backster Zone Comparison Technique's Either-Or Rule and Scoring System Versus Two Other Scoring Systems When Relevant Question Elicits Strong Response(Oficyna Wydawnicza AFM, 2010) Matte, James Allan"In March 1974, Cleve Backster authored an article published in Polygraph entitled “Anticlimax Dampening Concept” (Backster 1974). In his article, Backster states “The anticlimax dampening concept is formulated on the well-validated psychological principle that a person’s fears, anxieties, and apprehensions are channeled toward the situation which holds greatest immediate threat to his self-preservation or general well-being. Th e fi nal 113-page report was published in Polygraph, Journal of the American Polygraph Association, Volume 40, Issue 4, 2011. Th is Meta-Analytic Survey was chaired by Michael Gougler with Raymond Nelson as Principal Investigator and Donald Krapohl, Mark Handler, Pam Shaw, and Leonard Bierman as committee members."(...)Pozycja Effect of Habituation to Least Threatening Zone Questions of the Most Threatening Zone Comparison Questions in Psychophysiological Veracity Examinations(Oficyna Wydawnicza AFM, 2011) Matte, James Allan"During the past 39 years of conducting psychophysiological veracity (PV) examinations, this author observed a phenomenon wherein the responsivity of the confi rmed deceptive and truthful examinees remained constant and often increased with each chart collected on the relevant questions if deceptive or the control questions if truthful. Th is author suspected that the reason for this occurrence was due to the truthful examinee’s habituation to the relevant questions and the deceptive examinee’s habituation to the control questions, as a result of their psychological set being focused on the tests questions having the greatest threat to their security."(...)Pozycja Effect of the Stimulation Test Administered Before and After the First Relevant Chart of the Control Question Test(Oficyna Wydawnicza AFM, 2012) Matte, James Allan"During the pretest interview of a psychophysiological veracity (PV) examination, every effort is made to allay any fears the innocent examinee may have regarding the accuracy of the results of the examination, by explaining the scientific principles involved in the test, the sophistication of the polygraph instrument, and the complete objectivity of chart analysis through a numerical quantifi cation system or computer algorithm. However, the best pretest interview by the most competent polygraphist may sometimes fail to convince an examinee of the accuracy and reliability of the PV examination."(...)Pozycja European Polygraph 2020, Volume 14, Number 1 (51)(Oficyna Wydawnicza AFM, 2020) Widacki, Jan; Larson, John A.; Amsel, Tuvya T.; Barland, Gordon; Fleisher, Bill; Handler, Mark; Horvath, Frank; Krapohl, Donald J.; Matte, James Allan; Slowik, Stanley M.; Shapovalov, VitaliyPozycja European Polygraph 2021, Volume 15, Number 2 (54)(Oficyna Wydawnicza AFM, 2021) Ginton, Avital; Mickoś, Małgorzata; Leśniak, Marek; Widacki, Jan; Matte, James Allan; Gołaszewski, MarcinPozycja European Polygraph 2024, Volume 18, Number 1 (59)(Oficyna Wydawnicza AFM, 2024) Perez-Campos Mayoral, Eduardo; Perez-Campos, Eduardo L.; Pérez Campos Peláez, Fernanda Paola; Pérez Campos Peláezd, Rashna Juliette; Widacki, Jan; Matte, James Allan; Porzycki, KonradPozycja European Polygraph nr 1 (19), 2012(Oficyna Wydawnicza AFM, 2012) Gordon, Nathan J.; Fleisher, William L.; Matte, James Allan; Saldžiūnas, Vitas; Kovalenko, Aleksandras; Knyazev, Vladimir; Wilcox, Daniel T.; Gray, Rosie; Shurany, Tuvia; Konieczny, Jerzy; Widacki, JanPozycja European Polygraph nr 1 (23), 2013(Oficyna Wydawnicza AFM, 2013) Matte, James Allan; Leshkovych, Taras; Amsel, Tuvya T.; Gołaszewski, Marcin; Widacki, JanPozycja European Polygraph nr 2 (12), 2010(Oficyna Wydawnicza AFM, 2010) Matte, James Allan; Shurany, Tuvia; Chaves, Fabiola; Leśniak, Marek; Zubańska, Magdalena; Mirska, Natalia; Widacki, JanPozycja European Polygraph nr 2 (16), 2011(Oficyna Wydawnicza AFM, 2011) Matte, James Allan; Shurany, Tuvia; ; Gołaszewski, Marcin; Wrońska, Małgorzata; Widacki, JanPozycja European Polygraph nr 2 (24), 2013(Oficyna Wydawnicza AFM, 2013) Bachhiesl, Christian; Shurany, Tuvia; Chaves, Fabiola; Stempkowski, Monika; Matte, James Allan; Domin-Kuźma, Agnieszka; Widacki, JanPozycja European Polygraph nr 2 (32), 2015(Oficyna Wydawnicza AFM, 2015) Saldžiūnas, Vitas; Kovalenko, Aleksandras; Gordon, Nathan J.; Matte, James Allan; Nelson, Raymond; Widacki, Jan; Widacki, JanPozycja European Polygraph nr 3 (21), 2012(Oficyna Wydawnicza AFM, 2012) Budaházi, Árpád; Paciorek, Patryk; Matte, James Allan; Huszcza, Martyna; Konieczny, Jerzy; Widacki, JanPozycja European Polygraph nr 3-4 (17-18), 2011(Oficyna Wydawnicza AFM, 2011) Matte, James Allan; Polakowski, Henryk; Kastek, Mariusz; Pilski, Jarosław; Ibek, Anna; Saldžiūnas, Vitas; Kovalenko, Aleksandras; Widacki, Michał; Cempura, Aleksandra; Mirska, Natalia; Widacki, JanPozycja European Polygraph nr 3-4 (9-10), 2009(Oficyna Wydawnicza AFM, 2009) Pollina, Dean A.; Horvath, Frank; Denver, John W.; Dollins, Andrew B.; Brown, Troy E.; Shurany, Tuvia; Matte, James Allan; Stein, Einat; Zanev, Svetoslav; Saldžiūnas, Vitas; Kovalenko, Aleksandras; Gaidarov, Kalin; Lewandowski, Edward; Lewandowski, Łukasz; Wrońska, Małgorzata; Konieczny, Jerzy; Widacki, JanPozycja European Polygraph nr 4 (14), 2010(Oficyna Wydawnicza AFM, 2010) Matte, James Allan; Widacki, Michał; Saldžiūnas, Vitas; Kovalenko, Aleksandras; Widacki, Jan; Kniazev, Vladimir; Widacki, JanPozycja European Polygraph nr 4 (26), 2013(Oficyna Wydawnicza AFM, 2013) Widacki, Jan; Matte, James Allan; Huszcza, Martyna; Widacki, JanPozycja fMRI Lie Detection Validity and Admissibility as Evidence in Court and Applicability of the Court’s Ruling to Polygraph Testing(Oficyna Wydawnicza AFM, 2013) Matte, James Allan"On 18 June 2008, a federal grand jury returned an indictment against Dr. Lorne Allan Semrau, a clinical psychologist, and in a Second Superseding Indictment fi led later that year charged him with sixty counts of healthcare fraud in violation of 18 U.S.C & 1347, twelve counts of money laundering in violation of 18 U.S.C && 1956 and 1957, and one count of criminal forfeiture.
