    In a world facing environmental challenges and instability, the concept of family homesteads and ecovillages is gaining popularity. These models of life offer an innovative approach to managing environmental, food and energy security, and create a favorable environment for the youth social entrepreneurship development. Family homesteads manage on small plots of land, where families grow their own food by permaculture, have healthy lifestyle and use renewable energy sources. Ecovillages are communities that strive to create a sustainable, capable ecosystem that meet the needs of all its members. One of the advantages of such social models is ensuring food security, striving for harmony with nature, overcoming global challenges. Permaculture promotes soil restoration and biodiversity, which is the basis of sustainable agriculture. The use of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, allows reducing their dependence on traditional energy sources and their carbon footprint.

    Global, regional and internal factors of Egypt’s stance towards Russo-Ukrainian war

    The paper aims to explain the origins of Egypt’s foreign policy toward the Russian-Ukrainian war. The major hypothesis says that Egypt’s policy towards the Russian-Ukrainian conflict results from Egypt’s relations with the United States, the Russian Federation and regional powers, namely Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, with the Egyptian leaders trying to pragmatically put their policy in line with those of major regional powers with which Cairo has close relations while taking into account interests of their nation.

    Introduction: "The outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war in 2022, seen by many analysts as a ‘proxy war’ between the United States and the Russian Federation, can be seen as another manifestation of tensions developing in East-West relations since at least 2008. At that time, not only was there a global financial crisis that undermined confidence in the liberal world order (global market mechanisms and economic institutions controlled by the Western powers) but there was also the outbreak of the Russian-Georgian war, a prelude to the subsequent Ukrainian crisis (2013–2014) and Russia’s annexation of Crimea."(...)

    Scarcity of Food: a Factor Destabilising Security in the MENA Region

    Niniejszy artykuł analizuje wpływ bezpieczeństwa żywnościowego na stabilność polityczną w regionie MENA na szczeblu państwowym, regionalnym i indywidualnym. Omówiono także ocenę skuteczności rządów w regionie pod względem strategii zarządzania ryzykiem bezpieczeństwa żywności i współpracy międzyregionalnej. Autor wysuwa tezę, że niedobór żywności jest jednym z głównych czynników niestabilności politycznej w regionie MENA, a zapewnienie bezpieczeństwa żywnościowego jest ważnym zadaniem dla obecnych rządów w całym regionie. Biorąc pod uwagę problemy rozwojowe regionu oraz historię napiętych stosunków dwustronnych i wielostronnych, a także ciągłą nieufność polityczną między krajami regionu MENA, brak zasobów żywności i wody może zaostrzyć napięcia i wywołać dalsze konflikty w regionie.
