dc.description.abstractUdar mózgu jest drugą przyczyną zgonów na Świecie i może być poprzedzony przemijającym niedokrwieniem mózgu. TIA jest czynnikiem predysponującym do wystąpienia dokonanego udaru mózgu, toteż każdy pacjent, u którego wystąpiło TIA powinien mieć wykonaną diagnostykę neuroobrazową I naczyniową oraz prowadzoną profilaktykę wtórną. Pacjenci z krytycznym zwężeniem tętnicy szyjnej wewnętrznej powinni mieć wykonaną artherektomię w ciągu dwóch tygodni od wystąpienia objawów.pl
dc.description.abstractStroke is one of the leading causes of death in the world and is caused by brain ischemia. The disease causes changes in brain tissue in the same way in both cases, only the time of ischemia is different. Transient ischemia of the brain is an emergency and requires urgent specialist help. TIA is a predisposing factor for full stroke. Each patient after TIA should be provided with secondary prevention. It involves reducing the occurrence of another TIA or a complete stroke. In the case of a patient with transient ischemia, it is important to conduct an accurate interview. The EMT manager should carry it out with special attention to the time of the onset of symptoms and perform the FAST test. The overriding procedure at the time of reaching the place of calling the Medical Rescue Team is to assess the vital functions of the victim. Imaging studies are the main pillar of diagnosis of cerebral blood flow and disorders. When the Emergency Medical Team comes with a patient arriving at the hospital - the patient is treated as a priority due to the time limitation of the causative treatment. It should be emphasized that a patient with a TIA or stroke should be taken to a specialist hospital.pl
