Abstrakt
"In this article I will be discussing not only the origins of the major international human
rights regimes that emerged after the Second World War but also how the Cold
War affected (or, more accurately, hindered) the implementation of those regimes.
By the term “human rights,” I am referring simply to the basic political, social, and
economic rights and freedoms to which all human beings are entitled.1 These include,
among others, the right to life, the right to liberty, the right to free expression,
the right to own property, and the right to equal treatment before the law."(...)
