Celem artykułu jest zaznaczenie najważniejszych relacji i zależności pomiędzy bytem polskiej masonerii regularnej okresu międzywojennego oraz odnośnymi przepisami prawa polskiego i jego stosowaniem w praktyce. Ukazuje on zawiłości prawne, niejasne przepisy dotyczące działalności stowarzyszeń wpływające na nieukończony proces legalizacji działalności lóż. Przedstawione zostały także zasadnicze kwestie dotyczące relacji lóż z władzą państwową. Omówiono akt prawny rozwiązujący zrzeszenia wolnomularskie w 1938 r., oraz jego konsekwencje.

The purpose of this article is to highlight the most important relationships and dependencies between the existence of Polish regular freemasonry in the interwar period and the relevant provisions of Polish law and its application in practice. It shows the legal complexities and unclear regulations concerning the activities of associations that affect the unfinished process of legalizing the activities of the lodges. Fundamental issues concerning the relationship between the lodges and state power were also presented. The legal act dissolving the Masonic associations in 1938 and its consequences were discussed.
