dc.description.abstractThe ongoing global economic crisis, intensified by the global crisis of financial and capital markets, generates a lot of comparative analysis with the Great Depression 1929–1933. One aspect of this analysis is the problem of the scale of protectionism and its negative effects, for example in the area of the international trade. Whether a given case is just about financial and economic crisis or about classic impact of payment congestion (as a result of the collapse of the trade finance system) and the global economic downturn (due to the global slowdown in demand) on the reduction of import (thus exports) worldwide. The author focused his attention on anti-crisis policy, recognizing that the U.S. economy should trigger off the impulse of combating this crisis. The current crisis has shown that the world has no effective instruments for regulating global finance and most of the remedial activities are carried out on a national scale. This problem also applies to the process of liberalization of the world trade.pl_PL
