Abstract
The first part of the article concentrates on the implementation of the system reform in the period
since the adoption by the European Council Herman Van Rompuy`s report on 13th/14th December
2012 until the creation of organisational foundations for the Banking Union. The second part has
been devoted to the work on the reform after publishing on 22 June 2015 what is know as Five
President`s Report. In the third part have been discussed at length the consequences of system
changes in the euro area for Poland.
