| dc.description.abstract | Typ małego miasta polskiego opisywany był w literaturze już na początku XX wieku. Zwracano uwagę na potrzebę ochrony i kształtowania kulturowego dziedzictwa architektonicznego miasteczek. Struktura przestrzenna najmniejszych miast ulegała wielokrotnie dewastacji i degradacji, spowodowanej wieloma zmianami naturalnymi i wydarzeniami historycznymi. W drugiej połowie XX wieku proces przekształceń małych miast w Polsce nabrał nowego tempa, a zdecydowanie przyspieszył zwłaszcza po przystąpieniu Polski do Unii Europejskiej. Większość z nich zachowała swoje historyczne układy urbanistyczne; jednocześnie następuje ubytek starej tradycyjnej zabudowy, uzupełnianej nowymi formami, kształtującymi nowy krajobraz. | pl |
| dc.description.abstract | The type of small Polish town was described in literature as early as the beginning of the 20th century. The need to protect and shape the cultural architectural heritage of small towns is often emphasized. Spatial structure of the smallest towns was repeatedly devastated and degraded due to many natural changes and historical events. In the second half of the 20th century the transformation process of small towns in Poland occurred at an accelerated pace. Spatial and architectural changes also aff ected towns after Poland’s access to the European Union. Most of them have preserved their historic urban layouts, but at the same time the old traditional buildings are being lost and supplemented with new forms shaping their new landscape. | pl |
