The article “Status and prospects of the U.S. military presence in Europe in the second decade of the twenty-first century”, analyzes the involvement of U.S. armed forces in Europe in this period. It is an important topic because of the changes that the U.S. administration announced in past few years. Additionally, worth to consider, because the events in Ukraine can produce a new approach to this issue. The author tries to answer, among others, the following questions: – How the U.S. Military involvement looks like in Europe at the beginning of the fi rst decade of the twenty-first century? – What are and were the U.S. administration’s plans for the military presence in Europe and in the world? – What impact on the decisions of the United States has the situation in Ukraine ? Analysis and answers to the above questions led the author to a number of conclusions and these in turn allowed to outline several scenarios for further U.S. military presence in Europe.
