Wiedza uczniów na temat zagrożeń płynących z palenia papierosów - wyniki badań ankietowych

| dc.description.abstract | Palenie papierosów i wyrobów tytoniowych to poważny i złożony problem społeczny. Rozpoczynanie palenia we wczesnej młodości ma związek z późniejszą intensywnością i długotrwałością nałogu, co zwiększa w znacznym stopniu ryzyko występowania w przyszłości wielu poważnych chorób, w tym także chorób nowotworowych. Celem badań była próba oceny wiedzy uczniów wybranych szkół gimnazjalnych i ponadgimnazjalnych Krakowa na temat zagrożeń zdrowotnych wynikających z palenia papierosów. Badania wykonano za pośrednictwem anonimowej ankiety własnej konstrukcji. Uzyskane wyniki poddano analizie statystycznej za pomocą programu Statistica 9.0. W badaniu wzięło udział 209 (36,93%) uczniów z klas gimnazjalnych i 357 (63,07%) uczniów uczęszczających do szkół ponadgimnazjalnych. W większości byli to mieszkańcy Krakowa (65,05%), pobliskich miast i miasteczek (10,93%) oraz wsi (24,01%). Uczniowie zarówno gimnazjów (94,26%) jak i szkół średnich (96,92%) dostrzegają związek pomiędzy paleniem papierosów a zachorowalnością na nowotwory płuc i krtani, znacznie mniej spośród badanych taką zależność dostrzegało między paleniem a zawałem serca (36,84% gimnazjalistów i 47,90% licealistów) czy udarem mózgu (tylko 8,14% uczniów gimnazjum i 6,44% uczniów szkól ponadgimnazjalnych). Wiedza uczniów na temat chorób wywołanych nałogiem palenia tytoniu jest fragmentaryczna i niepełna, szczególnie w odniesieniu do związku między paleniem a występowaniem chorób układu sercowo – naczyniowego. | pl_PL |
| dc.description.abstract | Tobacco smoking is a serious and complex social problem. Begin smoking at an early age is associated with subsequent intensity and long-term durability of addiction, which increases significantly the risk of the future of many serious diseases, including cancer. The aim of this study was to assess students' knowledge of selected secondary schools in Krakow on the health risks of smoking cigarettes. The study was performed by means of an anonymous survey of its own design. The results were statistically analyzed using Statistica 9.0. The study involved 209 (36.93 %) students from junior high schools and 357 (63.07 %) students attending the school . Most of them were residents of Krakow (65.05 %), nearby towns and villages (10.93 %) and rural areas (24.01 %). Students in both middle school (94.26 %) and high school (96.92 %) recognize the link between cigarette smoking and lung cancer illness and larynx, much less of the respondents discerned the relationship between smoking and myocardial infarction (36.84 % junior high school students and 47.90% of high school students ) or stroke (only 8.14 % high school students and 6.44 % of pupils in upper secondary schools). The knowledge of students about the diseases caused by tobacco addiction is fragmentary and incomplete particularly with regard to the relationship between smoking and the incidence of cardiovascular disease. | pl_PL |
